Ingredients
Unrefined shea butter, beeswax, organic cold pressed coconut oil, hemp seed oil, rosin 500mg
Shea butter
A rejuvenating oil extracted from the nuts of the Shea tree, Vitellaria paradoxa.
Indigenous to Africa, the Shea tree bears nutritionally potent fruits.
Natively, the Shea tree is a traditional source of food as well as being key to many indigenous plant based Medicina.
This butter contains:
- Linoleic, an omega6 fat, lowers blood pressure and improves circulation
- Oleic acid is an omega9 fat, associated with improvements to cholesterol levels, blood pressure and inflammation, along with decreased heart disease risk and the potential to improve both mood and cognition.
These health boosting compounds are quickly absorbed into and thru the skin ~ they offer moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, and healing effects.
Beeswax
Also known as Cera Alba is essentially a natural form of wax made by honey bees.
The wax is secreted from glands in their bodies before being chewed up and collected for use as a building material, by strengthening the cells of the hive.
Beeswax is best known for its beneficial skin properties.
Several recent studies have shown it to be an effective treatment for chronic skin conditions.
It is a natural antioxidant having has antibacterial, antiviral and anti~inflammatory properties.
Hemp seed oil
Recent data shows hemp oil is able to help many health issues, including inflammation and skin conditions.
Research has identified the following conditions benefitting from the application of Hemp seed oil:
- Acne
- Eczema
- Psoriasis
- Lichen planus
Some studies have found that hemp oil contributes to stronger skin that is more resistant to viral, bacterial, and fungal infections.
Coconut oil
This is derived from the coconut fruit of the coconut palm tree.
Botanically known as Cocos nucifera, this tree grows in a variety of regions in the world, particularly in Asia and tropical areas.
Many studies have demonstrated its health benefits, including antimicrobial and antioxidant properties plus improved skin condition.
Boosts blood circulation, hence helping with ailments such as Reynauds syndrome
Prevents oxidative stress, polyphenolic compounds and phytonutrients in this sugar act as antioxidants in the body. This will lower the impact of free radicals and prevent oxidative stress, hence reducing the risk of chronic diseases and chronic inflammation.
Regulates blood pressure, the amount of potassium in this sugar may be minimal but it is enough to affect blood pressure.
Rosin
Blended with these nourishing and rejuvenating creams is our full spectrum, activated rosin flower extract.
We press our own rosin from Sativa dominant flowers, using 10 tonnes of pressure and a certain amount of heat.
This way we are able to squeeze out the natural oils whilst retaining their volatile terpenes, to produce an extract 100% alcohol and chemical free.
Our rosin is decarbed, or cooked, to activate the required compounds, before being folded into our soothing oils.
There are in excess of 200 separately identifed organic compounds to be found in this extract, with an ever increasing list of health benefits.
