What's it for?
Our bodies' hormones are like a seesaw, striving for balance, adapting as conditions change ~ AKA homeostasis.
When they’re perfectly balanced, and homeostasis achieved, our bodies work as they should.
But when they’re unbalanced, we may begin to experience unwelcome ailments.
Estrogen, AKA Oestrogen, is a category of sex hormone responsible for the development and regulation of the female reproductive system and secondary sex characteristics.
And most crucially, it is responsible for:
- bone health
- brain health
- cardiovascular health
Estrogen levels are substantially lower in men than in women.
However, in both men and women Estrogens circulate at lower levels than Androgens.
'Estrogen dominance' is the term used to describe Estrogen levels that are abnormally high relative to those of Progesterone.
High levels of Estrogen can develop naturally but can also be the result of consuming certain medications, cosmetics/toiletries, drinks and foods.
The health risks of Estrogen dominance in men are considerably well researched and documented. Research results have reported material increases in heart attacks, strokes and prostate tumours.
In both men and women, Estrogen dominance linked ailments include sexual impotence, depression, and anxiety.
Green Tea
AKA Camellia sinesis is an aromatic, slightly bitter detoxifying herb.
Made in China for over three thousand years, this is a small evergreen, tender shrub with tough elliptic leaves, which are harvested, dried and then steamed.
Green tea contains several compounds highly beneficial in improving men's health, including a variety of polyphenols.

The polyphenols found in Green Tea have been demonstrated to boost the enzymes known to metabolize estrogen hormones within our bodies.
In essence, this means the regular consumption of green tea will help to decrease estrogen levels in the body.
Dandelion
AKA Taraxacum officinale, this bitter tasting plant stimulates bile production.
This in turn facilities the detox of our livers, helping it break down estrogen and progesterone byproducts.
Dandelion also helps in removing them from our body.
Milk Thistle
AKA Silybum marianum, this herb directly supports hormonal balance.
It is one of the best plants for liver health.
Liver health is vital for hormonal balance.
The liver helps to filter toxins from the body, including excess hormones.
How to make Té Especial?
Use one (1) teaspoon for every cup of boiled water.
Infuse for 5 to 10 minutes while covered with a saucer.
Drink three (3) times a day, continuing for a day or two after symptoms subside.
