ORGANIC NETTLE TEA BLEND 28g

What is it?

Nicholas Culpepper the famous 16th century English herbalist, tells us Nettle:

“...is hot and dry, and you know as well that winter is cold and moist; then you may know as well the reason why nettle-tops eaten in the spring consume the phlegmatic superfluities in the body of man, that the coldness and moistness of winter hath left behind." [1651]

Stinging nettle is a plant that grows in North America, Europe, and Africa.

It is rich in vitamins, minerals and contains Moroidin, Nature's own chemo agent (anticancer).

What's it good for?

It has been used as a herbal remedy for thousands of years, being brought to the UK by Roman soldiers who valued its medicinal and culinary uses.

Stinging nettle leaf can be useful in reducing the symptoms of hay fever by acting as an anti-inflammatory.

Research has positively linked it's use in treatments to relief of allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes.

How to use?

Tea can be made by steeping in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how strong you like it.

Two (2) tea spoons per mug.

A "decoction", or very strong tea, can be made by steeping in hot water for an hour, which once drained & cooled, can be added to iced drinks as a healthy summer cordial.
